Iris Presents: The Wonder of Worm Bins

Learn how to put red worms to work for you at this build-your-own worm bin workshop.  This fun and educational method of composting reduces the amount of food waste and results in a rich source of plant nutrients coveted by gardeners.  During this hands-on workshop participants will put together a worm bin while learning how to successfully maintain it.  The workshop will be led by environmental educator and worm enthusiast Sarah Archer.  Sarah has been an avid worm composter for over 20 years and is owner of Iris Waste Diversion Specialists, an environmental program management, marketing and education consulting firm. Included in the workshop fee of $75 is an aerated bin, red worms, bedding material, care supplies, worm bin care guide and post workshop support. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 11 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Heritage High School, 3465 N.
